A grant of $10,000 per business has been recently announced by the Victorian Government for small businesses in Victoria that have been severely impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.
You may be eligible for this grant if your business:
- Been forced to close due to the recent shutdown measures
- Been severely impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak
- Employs staff
- Payroll of less than $650,000 including super & fringe benefits
- Annual turnover over $75,000
This grant is intended to help small businesses to continue to pay their bills, obtain financial or legal advice and to continue develop the business. For example it would be a prudent to engage your accountant in forecasting cash flows, break even positions, applying for the various grants or commercial advisory.
Applicants must be able to certify their eligibility in writing and may be subject to audit by the Victorian Government and asked to produce evidence of eligibility.
